2019 Summer Bucket List

I am all about bucket lists.  But, I am that person that never remembers to make one until it's almost too late.  Like I make a summer bucket list two weeks before summer is over.  So, this year, I am on top of things and making my bucket list!  Here are our summer bucket lists (yes, more than ONE!)!

Friday Bucket List (I'm home with the kids on Fridays and I want to have a list of things to choose from for the summer).

  • Visit a new splash pad
  • Visit the MN Zoo
  • Visit a new library
  • Head to a waterpark for the day
  • Bike to a new park and have a picnic
  • Host a lemonade stand
  • See a movie in a theater on a rainy day
  • Splash in puddles and play in the rain
  • Go bowling
  • Make a fort and have a movie day
  • Have a kids baking day
  • Make and bring lunch to dad at work
  • Take a walk and do a scavenger hunt
  • Have a water day at home (water table, water balloons, sprinklers, etc.)
  • Ice Cream for lunch
Family Bucket List (things to do as a family on the weekends)
There are probably a handful of things that I will add to this, but I think this is a good start...considering I'm doing this before summer starts this year :)  Tell me, what's on your summer bucket list?

I'm baaaaack!

Wow, I have been out of the blogging loop for far too long.  I don't know why.  Time, I guess.  I really, really need to make time for writing.  It's such a passion of mine and it really makes me happy.  So...let's see how long this lasts :)

Obviously a TON has happened since my last blog post some 3+ years ago.  So here's a quick recap of what we're up to!

Dafney is now 7 and in 1st grade.  She attends a fantastic elementary school and is doing SO well!  It's completely crazy how much they learn once they start school.  I mean, she's literally doing math that I can barely understand.  And she's in FIRST grade.  Lord help us all.  She is such a good kid.  She has the sweetest heart, kindest soul, and the most amazing personality.  She's a complete blessing.

Hendrix just turned 4 and is ALL boy.  He is rough, hyper, and is a hockey loving kid!  He'll be starting his last year in pre-K and then my baby will be in Kindergarten...but let's not get ahead of ourselves.  While he is a bit rougher than Dafney, he still has the sweetest personality.  He's my snuggle bug and has been the most amazing addition to our family!

Hubby has left his job at Target, and has a job at a furniture store called Blu Dot.  He's extremely happy with the switch.  Things really haven't changed a ton with him...other than a few extra gray hairs ;)

I am still at my same job at the U and hoping to find a better job in the very near future.  I also took on PTO co-chair when Dafney started Kindergarten...maybe not my smartest moment, but it's been a great experience and I've met a lot of wonderful parents.  Otherwise, hubby and I are just living the parenthood dream!

That's the extremely condensed version on the MacKenzie family update!  Looking forward to posting more often (which shouldn't be hard, since it's been 3 years since my last post ;))!
